Neighborhood Updates
The front entrances incurred some damage to the entrance lights and the sprinkler heads in early May. Our HOA President, Roger Smith, has repaired the Westford Dr. entrance and should have the Spring Hollow Blvd. entrance completed within the next few days.
Replacement oak and holly trees for the entrances are also currently being priced and we expect to have that finalized soon. You may have noticed that some Tabebuia trees have also been donated to the Spring Hollow entrance as one of our Westford Drive residents was able provide those at no cost to the HOA. Additional Tabebuia trees are being considered to balance out the area.
An official inquiry has been submitted to Orange County to address the cleaning of our entrance wall. The Board is awaiting their response regarding scheduling of that activity.
Fresh mulch, seasonal plantings, and new message boards will then complete the revival of the front entrance areas. Those tasks can take place after the cable contractors complete the fiber optic replacement within our subdivision, although we do not currently have a timeline for the completion of that endeavor.
Our most recent Neighborhood Gathering was Saturday, April 29, once again on the corner of Spring Hollow & Jaymara at Tract A. The weather was not spectacular, but the rain didn’t hamper the fun! We had light snacks and enjoyed spending time with our neighbors. Congratulations to those who won gift cards in the prize drawings!
2024 Annual Dues
The 2024 Annual Home Owners Association dues will increase to $330.00. As noted in the annual meeting earlier this year, an increase in 2023 was deferred to assist residents dealing with last summer’s storm damage. Invoices should be expected in January 2024. Please also remember that paying your dues is a legally binding requirement and interest on any unpaid dues can accrue. Partial payments can also be arranged and accepted. Contact any board member for more information.
Neighborhood Maintenance
Just a reminder of your reasonable property upkeep – overall there are very few issues and some significant upgrades. However, the board has found untagged vehicles and unsightly vegetation that prompt the need for reminders. Remember to keep recreational vehicles, boats, RV’s, etc. out of public view as per Orange County Code.
School Fall Season
Orange County Public School returns on Thursday, August 10th. Watch out for the children and crossing guards protecting them.
