Summer 2026 Newsletter
Important Neighborhood News & Updates
The Front Entrances have been beautifully decorated by the board members in celebration of our country’s 🇺🇸 250-year anniversary 🇺🇸! Many thanks to those that participated – fantastic job! We’d like to take this opportunity to present a new option to join a community Decoration Committee. If any resident would like to participate in these events around the holidays, please email Carrie Ricotta (carriericotta@msn.com) or contact any of our board members listed to the right.
🇺🇸 🇺🇸July 4th Safety – The Orange County burn ban is no longer in effect as of 06/26/26 but please be responsible with any firework festivities that you have planned and keep fire potential in mind. 🔥🔥
Our own Board President, Roger Smith, has been busy running low voltage conduit for the future message boards. If you see him out there, be sure to say Hey! The new message boards will be placed on the right sides as you exit each entrance. The boards will be installed as soon as they are complete, and we will keep you informed as progress is made. The current issue with the sign lighting being on during the day will resolve when the new boards are installed.
Hurricane Season is here. Are you ready? Please ensure that you’ve addressed any trees on your property that could cause storm damage. Stock up on things you might need during power outages. Take an inventory of your belongings for insurance purposes. There’s a checklist that you may find useful on this page.
The Community Garage Sale will be held the weekend of October 16th and 17th. If you plan to participate and would like the board to pay your permit fee, please notify the board of your desire to participate no later than October 1st. You’re welcome to pay your own permit fee at the higher rate if you miss that October 1st deadline.
Criminal Trespass – We’ve been informed that there have been some incidents regarding motorbikes entering the Rock Springs Ridge subdivision that have been reported to come from the Spring Hollow Boulevard north end. We do not believe that any of our residents have participated in those events but please be aware and report any trespass that you may notice. Call 911 for a Trespass in Progress, or 407-836-HELP(4357) for “after the fact” reports or suspicious activity.

ACC forms
These forms are not optional. If you are planning an addition or changes to the outside of your property, fill out the ACC approval form. If you need additional information or need a copy of the form, please contact any board member or visit the website – springhollow.org/links
Email Distribution of Newsletter
Please contact Spring Hollow HOA Board Secretary Carrie Ricotta with your request to have newsletter and HOA notifications emailed to you. Carrie’s email is carriericotta@msn.com. Participation in this program is very much appreciated.
BEFORE THE STORM
Stay up-to-date on the storm’s progress via radio, TV or NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards receiver.
Determine safe evacuation routes inland as well as alternative routes.
Review your Shelter-in-Place Plan, making sure your Disaster Kit is fully stocked, including fresh batteries!!
Ensure you have an emergency communication plan in place prior to the storm, evacuation, or threat.
Clean roof drains and remove debris from roof to prevent drainage problems.
Protect/relocate vital records including your insurance policy. Be sure your risks are protected.
Install windstorm shutters/plywood over windows and doors.
Take the following steps to ensure items outdoors will not blow away or cause damage:
- Remove all loose debris
- Anchor or relocate all nonessential equipment to a safe indoor location
- Secure storage of flammable liquids, or move them to a sheltered area
- Anchor all portable buildings (e.g., trailers) to the ground
Have cash on hand for post-windstorm needs, such as buying food and supplies.
DURING THE STORM
Patrol the property continuously and watch for roof leaks, pipe breakage, fire or structural damage.
During the height of a windstorm, remain in a place that has been identified as safe from wind and flood.
AFTER THE STORM
Keep listening to radio, TV or NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards to make sure the storm has passed.
Wait until an area is declared safe before entering to secure the site and survey damage.
Watch for closed roads. If you come upon a barricade or a flooded road, turn around, don’t drown.
Survey for safety hazards such as live wires, leaking gas or flammable liquids, poisonous gases, and damage to foundations or underground piping.
Begin salvage as soon as possible to prevent further damage:
- Cover broken windows and torn roof coverings immediately
- Separate damaged goods, but beware of accumulating too much combustible debris inside a building
Inspect and make emergency repairs to drains, gutters and flashing.
